During the late 1990s, ChristianSteven Software Ltd. executives experienced firsthand the challenges every business faces with regards to business intelligence.

While working as a customer service director, Ian Gifford’s appetite for information with which to make better business decisions seemed insatiable. Consequently, Steven Amani’s days were spent generating, collating, and packaging more than 200 Crystal reports per week for distribution to Ian and other managers at the company.

Steven searched for a business intelligence tool that would automate his work, but while he found tools, none would automate the entire process. Steven therefore created his own business intelligence automation tool which he personally used and refined for more than one year.

Steven and co-worker Christian Ofori-Boateng both realized that his tool solved a universal BI problem that companies everywhere were dealing with:

And so in September 2002, Christian Ofori-Boateng and Steven Amani founded ChristianSteven Software Ltd. to bring their Crystal Reports scheduling and business automation software to market. Since that time, ChristianSteven Software has extended support to include Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
