Christian is a 16-year serial entrepreneur with international exposure and 10 years of business intelligence expertise.
Born in Ghana, as a boy Christian frequently traveled with his father who worked for the United Nations in Africa. As an adult, he studied at the Atlantic College in Wales and at the University of London before entering the work force.
While working during the mid-1990s as a technical support analyst, he found his ability to write and sell his own software applications, cutting his teeth in web marketing and Internet-based businesses.
Christian conceived ChristianSteven Software Ltd. as a solutions provider to create and market easy-to-use and intuitive applications specifically for information management and database reporting.
Capitalizing on his background in information management, application support, and solutions architecture, he guided ChristianSteven Software from inception to its current global success, a success he attributes to being detail-oriented about marketing and delivering the right products.
Christian is a lifetime member of the Cambridge Who’s Who, a sought-after writer on the subject of business intelligence, music aficionado, history buff, Discovery channel junkie, and proud father.
Steven Amani, Chief Software Architect and Customer Support VP
It was Steven’s own Crystal Reports automation tool that led to the company’s founding back in 2002. Steven developed the solution as a way to free himself from the job of manually creating and distributing upwards of 200 reports each week.
In his dual roles at ChristianSteven Software, Steven is the visionary responsible for overall company strategy, and third level technical support for their customers.
His overarching goal as product strategist is to create common sense solutions that will save people alot of time, money, and effort. He views software as an art form, but believes that if the tool isn’t obvious to the user, it’s wrong.
A self-proclaimed software developer, geek, businessman, entrepreneur, gadget freak, artist, and Apple fan boy, Steven has business interests in the U.S., U.K., and Malawi where he was born.
Fluent in Chichewa (the native language of Malawi) and English, Steven lives in North Carolina with his wife and two kids that he adores.
Ian Gifford, Managing Director – EMEA
Gifford brings 30 years business and entrepreneurial experience to ChristianSteven Software, where he is in charge of sales, marketing, the European reseller program, and customer relations for clients outside the Americas.
Prior to joining ChristianSteven Software in 2006, Gifford was director of customer service for a software house. It was there that he met Christian and Steven, and, he admits, it was his demands for reports that triggered Steven to build the tool that would later become CRD.
Always customer-focused, Gifford once owned a hotel in Scotland and provided control systems for the hospitality industry. He was instrumental in putting the first POS terminal into operation in the U.K., and he was charged with implementing multi-million dollar contracts that required coordination of services and partnership agreements.
His secret to success is to look at benefits from the customer’s point of view, identifying ways he can work with the customer to deliver benefits to both organizations. He shares his knowledge and experience by participating in panel discussions at major IT and customer service events around London, and by serving on the board of directors for another software firm and a timeshare board in Portugal.
Gifford also provides project management and business management expertise through another venture that he owns, and he manages to squeeze in three rounds of golf each year for fun.
